Upcoming crowdfunded starship minis coming out soonish.  Already safely funded, headed for bonus-figure stretch goals.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/twilightgamedesigns/stars-reach-space-ship-miniatures

Three fleets with very different design aesthetics.

Advanced Evil Alien Empire

Inevitable Space Bug Force

Dirty Rotten Stinking Humans (cookie if you get that reference)

Think I like the humans stuff best, especially the carrier.

I agree with you, that carrier is a pretty cool design.

I'm in, though my lead pile of space ships alone...  Shocked

I'm really considering repurposing some from one or both aliens as 'nefs.

Some of them do have that "flying ship" vibe, yes.

I never thought I'd ever start collecting starship miniatures, but there is something about these that really appeals to me. I'm in for all three factions.  Smiley

We're approaching the final 48 hours of the Stars Reach spaceship miniatures Kickstarter. The project has already met it's funding goal and the first stretch goal has been unlocked. Free PDF rules to 5150 Star Navy have also been tossed in to anyone who pledges $55 (Commodore level) or higher, compliments of Two Hour Wargames.

Please check it out - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/twilightgamedesigns/stars-reach-space-ship-miniatures

Funding closes this Sunday at 10pm Eastern

The free rules are a nice plus.  I've played 5150 Star Navy a few times and enjoyed it.  Little random, but fun.

Boy, that jumped quite a bit overnight.  Looks like they'll hit the second stretch goal, so a free bonus BC or CV for every fleet.  Very appealing to me since the Terran carrier is probably my favorite mini in the whole project.

Has me thinking maybe it's time to get back into Starmada.  Been pretty much out since Admiralty, but Unity sounds like a step in the right direction again.

In a few hours, if it wasn't just a case of failing to refresh a page this morning...  Roll Eyes

I'd about given up on the first goal when it was reached. While the graphic hasn't changed, it's made the second. The unexpected pleasure...

Just out of curiosity, and I'm not a fanboy though fully respect Starmada, why did you quit playing Admiralty? Others around you went in other directions?

I still love Full Thrust, but a bit tired of setting up a game, working to find an opponent, then have endless hordes tramp through the store, saying, 'Oh, yeah, Full Thrust. Love it. Will have to try it again...' and never do.  Confused

Admiralty was the last edition I played heavily.  Liked it fine (although you do need to restrain yourself a bit on custom designs sometimes) but as you surmised, others drifted to new games and I ran out of regular opponents.  Despite its longevity Starmada's never really caught on locally, a problem I never solved even when I had the time and energy to boost for it more.

Full Thrust is still easier for me to find players for, although at this point it's become a couple-of-times-a-year thing for most of us.

Happy Saturday! I'm pleased to announce that Stretch Goal #2 is now unlocked and everyone pledging at least $55 (Commodore level) will receive their choice of either one Battle Cruiser (BC) or one Carrier (CV) per fleet box for free!

This additional reward option is of course paired with the free Heavy Cruiser (CA) from Stretch Goal #1 and complimentary 5150 Star Navy PDF.

We've got about 32 hours remaining in this campaign so tell your friends and let's get that last Stretch Goal unlocked!!
