I've just started painting up my Star Wars Armada miniatures, mainly the squadrons but also a small amount of work on any duplicate ships, nothing groundbreaking just enough so that they look good on the gaming table.
A lot more background on the project over on my blog:

I've just dropped the game into my shopping basket on Amazon. I'm trying to wait overnight before pressing the "buy" button, but seeing the painted ships isn't helping Hypno

The paint jobs are looking good, and nice blu-tac pillar for holding the fighters Laugh

I've not regretted buying it Smiley

I was a little stumped on how to paint the fighters at first, I have seen people use cotton buds with the tips removed but the blu tack seems to be working well for me.

A good start, and thanks for blaming me on your blog for all your purchases

 Laugh

Btw, the link you put on your blog post doesn't work - might need to drop the brackets?

Working on an X Wing this morning, it's tough keeping a steady hand on such small details.

Cheers,

Despite just being a basic paint job I'm really enjoying working on these.

I caved and purchased the game at the weekend, so I'm now looking at painting these guys at some point. It's nice to see the huge improvement even a "basic paint job" gives Smiley

I'm in two minds about the larger ships. They're painted, but some of the painting is quite harsh - especially the black lining effect. It isn't at the head of the queue, but I suspect I may want to tone the effect down a bit at some point.

I know what you mean with the ships, I'll be sticking to re-colouring duplicates rather than full repaints though and concentrate getting all the squadrons painted up.

Second batch of X Wings finished off this morning, time to move back on to TIE Fighters.

Finished up another batch of TIE fighters this morning, just one more batch and that will be the core sets done.
