Looks lovely, subscribed. I love the north Africa WW2 vibe that you've got going on.

The moral of this picture is don't be stupid and invite Kroot to a party!

Awesome pictures!

Did you use any specific brushes for all of the smoke and fire effects?

Yes, i use various brushes that i have often found here - https://www.brusheezy.com/ (mainly for light smoke, mist and lightning).
The big explosions and dust clouds  are pictures from the net (just google explosion) that i edit until they fit the photo.
As i started playing around with photoshop elements for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago i tried to write down where the brushes came from so i could link to them. Unfortunatly since 90% of the brushes either did not work on PSE 11 or just were not very good, i downloaded everything i could until i found some good ones that actually worked. By then of course, i could not remember where i found most of them.

Edit: Found some good explosions and fire here - http://www.psd-dude.com/

Really enjoying these. Any plans for pics of tanks or vehicles in the future?

Thanks.
Just took a tank photo and i am working on it at the moment. Unfortunately i only have a couple of tanks so it will get boring if i use them too often.
