Just stumbled over this a few hours before the deadline, so details are still to be determined, and I'll write up a more thorough opening post.

It'll most likely be a scratchbuild based on what I originally thought was an early McQuarrie concept for the A-Wing, but turns out to be an alternate Galactica Raptor:

Cheers!

Alright, time for that more in-depth post I promised. Work's been busy lately, so there's been little time for building and less time for following the forum, but I've finally had some time.

I should say right off the bat that I won't be adhering strictly to the drawing, but rather using it as inspiration. I'll most likely be deviating a fair bit. Smiley

I've little idea about the scaling, but I knew I wanted it to be 28 mm scale so I could use it as terrain for the Rogue Stars games a friend and I are planning, so I reckoned that I should start with the cockpit:

And a pic of it assembled:

And one for scale:

Later there'll be a front-bit but I'll kept them separate for painting. Right now it's looking like the craft itself will be about 200 mm long.

Wow! Shocked Great start!....and a nicely painted mini as well!

Are you planning on painting the cockpit and then building the rest of the ship around it?

Great start - if the rest of the model is as detailed as the cockpit you are onto a winner.

Btw, you'll need to change the title of your thread.....I don't think you can call it an 'attempt' any longer! Wink
