A quick update on Exotic Locations, as I know a lot of people are keen to get their hands on these models.

The plan is to get kits out to all our Indigogo backers by the first week of February. Assuming we do that, we will have retail products for sale on our Trade Stand at Vapnartak in York on 5th February.

If anyone want to pre-order products, and missed the Indigogo campaign, the retail release is available to pre-order at 10% pre-release discount at: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/exotic-locations

We are planning to ship pre-orders on 6th February (when we get back from Vapnartak)

In the mean time here is a photo of the Riad Pool painted up and completed with the excellent Fountain casting that David Phipps designed for the range.

I can only respond by adding to my previous statements: Damn, you hit the head on the nail with this range!!

If I had had the necessary funds, I'd have been all over this - as it is now, I'll have to wait and carefully plan what to get in what order.

(I also absolutely adore your shotgun shacks, btw - a very essential addition to any 'down south' setting).

Thanks for the compliments. We are rather fond of this range for many reasons.
- Casablanca is one of our favourite films ever.
- We've had some fantastic holidays in Morrocco both in cities and Ports and also trecking through remote Berber villages, so had some great references to go on.
- These sets were designed with Pulp Alley - Tomb of the Serpent in mind, and that has to be my favourite campaign (so far), for one of the best miniatures games that I've played in the last 35 years of gaming.
- It has so many uses. During development we used it for Pulp Alley, 7TV, WW2, Star Wars and Dr Who!

Glad you like the Shotgun Shack, (we do a 15mm version as well), it was one of the earlier kits that we made, but is one of my favourites. As well as using it with 1920's Gangsters recently I have been using it for 'The Walking Dead'.

Over the last couple of weeks I have had a chance to paint up some of the excellent sculpts that Mark and David made for Exotic Locations.

Here's the Riad Props painted up. I used an image of some real Morrocan cushions to make myself a transfer to do the geometric designs, seemed easier than trying to paint them by hand!

Exotic Locations are released as a retail product today!
Ann and I have been working all hours for last couple of weeks to get pledges in the post to Indigogo backers, so today, on my birthday is the official retail release for this range.

Full details: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/exotic-locations

We will have a good selection of Exotic Location stock, together with all things Pulp Alley, Pulp Figures and pulp era vehicles from Sloppy Jalopy at Hammerhead this weekend, but always better to pre-order to avoid disappointment!

Rather you than me putting that lot together - I still haven't had the courage to do the interior of the pub.... Shocked

But it'll look proper grand when you've finished. Good luck.

Cheers, Doug. I may have to watch 'Casablanca' whilst I'm gluing and painting, just to set the mood!

Mine arrived yesterday as well. Four basic "Rick's Place" sets, the upgrades for the Souk, Museum and Riad, set dressing and props for them all and 2 dinosaur skeletons. Plenty of work now to assemble and paint it all, but it'll be fantastic when it's done.
