The Twins & a 2CV would be excellent!

Roderick

Sadly this doesn't work for the period (the 2CV, like the beetle, was prototyped in '38-'39 but only built in mass numbers postwar). Something like a Citroen Type C, Austin 7, or Morris Minor would be most fitting.

Not wishing to be too pedantic but the two detectives are not twins. They are Thomson and Thompson (with a 'p').   Smiley

Great work on the figures though, they are superb. I have bought all of them so far, looking forward to acquiring more.

Actually Helen's hit the nail on the head.
A Wolseley Hornet is the car I'm basing the model on. Purely for its fit into the follies theme and also for speed of construction .As it allows me to re use parts from other vehicles I've made.
(Front axle from the Tin tin car,Rear axle from the airborne jeep.Front wheels with built in mud guards from the three wheeler, bucket seats from the white scout car, rear wheels from early Rolls armoured car,and so on.)

There is a list of real car equivalents for Tin tin. On a classic car website but I'm dammed if I can remember its name( IPad died and took everything with it)

Your right technically they aren't twins ,(Unless your only five, and ordering your Dad around, and he's not brave enough to open another can of worms)

Ah, but those must be their undercover names, as their real names are Dupond and Dupont  Wink

tin shed gamer's lovely figures are available at 1st Corps here:

1st Corps

Now that I've pre-ordered Campaign Sea Lion, I think I may need some more boy scouts and policemen to assist Captain Mainwaring in repulsing the invaders at Walmington-on-Sea. Another order going in soon, I think! A bit of Went The Day Well? for inspiration.
