Hello guys!

A group of friends organized a SAGA tournament and invited me to play. Unfortunately I do not love the ancient setting...they said I can use proxy for the warband I choose, so I decided to play a Clegane - Lannister warband using Capetingian Frank rules.

My 7pt pool, main target, is:

- The Mountain Who Ride - WL (mounted)
- a "priest" (need an idea for this...) (m)
- Clegane HG (4) (m)
- Clegane HG (4) (m)
- Lannister W with crossbow (8 ) (on foot)
- Lannister W (8 ) (of)
- Clegane W (8 ) (of)
- Lannister L with bows (12) (of)
- Lannister Standard Bearer (1) (of)

(ud 27 Jan)

legenda:
- planned;
- finished;
- work in progress;

And, to play Carolingian Frank too, I'm also planning - as a side target - :

- The Mountain Who Walk  Grin WL (of);
- Clegane HG (4) (of);
- Lannister HG (4) (of);

Quite a challenge for me  Smiley

At the moment, I finished a the Lannister crossbowmen unit:

And, I prepared a unit of Clegane Warriors:

Finally, a Lannister standard bearer:

What do you say guy? C&C always welcome!

Cheers!

You have managed to put those plastics together in very convincing and natural poses, especially like the standard bearer. Nice job.

Very nice!

I'm particularly interested to see you put together the Clegane troops. A real bunch of scumbags!

Many thanks for the kind and encouraging words, guys... Much appreciated!  Smiley
This one is kinda of a quick project, so I' always searching for a simple and effective scheme for both modelling and painting...
Cleganes are a little exception...I wanted them to be the Mountain's cruel fellows, and so I tried to convert them to have that look...

A real bunch of scumbags!

Yes! Exactly what I wanted the Clegane trooper to be!  Cheesy

Oh yes  Love

Thank you very much Captain. I really appreciated your words, especially considering that this project was heavily inspired by your "Westeros with Captain Blood" and the "Captain Blood's Perry Mounted Men At Arm" threads.  Cheesy

BTW, here is some progress with the warband  Smiley

First, the Lannister standard bearer:

And, the first rank of the Clegane unit:

Finally, a WIP of the last rank:

Base colors plus washes...they only need highlights and basing and I will have finished the 2nd SAGA point  Cool

As always C&C welcome!

Cool stuff! Wouldn't a certain disgraced ex-maester work as the priest?

Do you have the Perry light cavalry set? There is a head on there that would be PERFECT for a Clegane soldier.... A real ugly face in an open sallet, a really nasty piece of work.
