Updated Post 03.09.15

I have good news and bad news.

The bad news: The spell cards are no longer available because Osprey purchased the design from me.
The good news: Osprey plans on releasing a printed deck of spell cards for Frostgrave.

----------------------------
I am splitting off this topic in order to keep things focused and not clutter up other threads with discussion of design and edits.

My original post
-------------------------

So this idea of spell cards got my mind racing so I thought I would come up with a design. Not to steal Daeothar's thunder. If anyone is interested I could make a whole deck. Not sure if peeps would like the icons for wizard type.

The back of all the cards

Sample spell #1: Has rings for wizard type & casting.

Sample spell #2: Has simple wizard type & casting

By the way I have finished half the spell cards. Hopefully they will be done by the beginning of next week or sooner.

Audrey, want to run a game of Frostgrave when we do the next gaming day?  I have plenty of figures to create a warband (maybe a couple?).

Excellent work!!! The card back looks fantastic and the fronts look very cool indeed. I like the first card front because the blue on both sides kinda ties the card together, but I also like the second card front as it seems more thematic, in that with the symbols in the black ink, it looks more like a spell scrawled onto parchment.

I like them. The first design with the blue is a little more visually interesting, but both are good. If there was space on the card, I'd consider including all ten schools of magic's symbols and showing the relevant penalty to cast, or grouping the symbols into aligned and non-aligned, something like that. Just a small suggestion that may or may not have merit Smiley

What is it with great minds here on LAF eh? Laugh

I'm working on exactly that for my version of the cards, but need to receive my Nickstarter book first to be completely certain about all relevant penalties, values etc.

I am already designing icons for my cards though, as I want some more visual stuff to complement the large pieces of text... Wink

Nicely done cards  Smiley

Only thing is that the casting value can change during campaign-play and the casting value is also different depending what kind of wizard you field Wink

I'd like to. I bet we could pull together enough miniatures for 4 warbands with Jerry & Kim's stuff.

I am working on an editable pdf so you can make the casting value whatever you want.
