This is going to be so hard these two entries are brilliant

What to choose

Have to say that lioness is amazing - best I have ever seen painted, so lifelike

Then all of the miniatures are superbly painted

Yeah, I looked at the first entry and thought, "This will be an easy choice", and then I looked at the second entry and did a double take. Both are sooooo good.

My goodness  Shocked

I looked at the first entry and thought - that's the Prof. Then I looked at the second entry and thought, these are the wrong way round. Then I realised Matt's got the hex bases for Blood On The Sands, so yes, they must be his! Both incredibly similar in so many respects, it's almost impossible to slide a fag paper between them...

Who makes the War elephant

It's from Aventine, just as all the Romans in the entry.

Fantastic entry Prof. Still living up to your reputation as the 'Cecil B. Demille of miniature scenes' Smiley

Who makes the War elephant and who makes the lioness?

The lioness is a Ral Partha figure. The guys on the ground are all Aventine with WGF shields, the guy on top is a Crusader spectator. The goat is Foundry Smiley

How's that goat still alive?! Wink

They're supposed to represent members of the North African Telegenii cartel, who captured and bred animals to send to Roman arenas. According to my research this was one of their methods, I figure this lioness knew something was amiss before she got into the cage Smiley
