Nick at North Star just posted that Jim Bowen, figure painter, died on the 9th April.

I loved his work.

He was a very gifted painter and, from what I heard, a brillant chap as well.

Also Jim was a great sculptor , and nice to deal with. Nothing was a bother to him, he would phone you up personally to discuss orders or problems.  Sadly missed.

This is sad news.

There is a note on the Perry Website too

"Jim Bowen

It’s with the deepest sadness we have to report that Jim
Bowen died suddenly on Tuesday 9th April.  He leaves a partner and young son.
He was a great friend and figure painter/sculptor who will be sorely missed by all
who knew him.  As you can see from our site he’s done the majority of our collection, not only for the site but also personal collections. Rest in Peace.
Alan and Michael"

He was a fine painter and sculptor. Is someone organising a whip around for the missus and kids?
