I thought Nestor Mahkno was an Anarchist leader (fought Whites and Reds).  No?

From the Russian Wikipedia:

Makhno - Red Commander.

In the context of the offensive of General A.I. Denikin in the Ukraine in the middle of February 1919, Makhno signed a military agreement with the commander of the Red Army, February 21, 1919 became commander of the 3rd Brigade of the 1st Zadneprovski Division which fought against Denikin's forces on the Mariupol - Volnovaha.

For the successful raid on Mariupol March 27, 1919, to slow down White's attack on Moscow, the brigade commander - Makhno, by some accounts, was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for the №4.

On April 15, 1919 led the team in the 1st Ukrainian Soviet army. After the start of the rebellion of the Red Army the army commander N.A. Grigorieva (May 7), Makhno took the fence, then took the side of the Red Army. In May 1919, at a meeting of the commanders of the rebel units in Mariupol Makhno supported the establishment of a separate rebel army.

In early June 1919, Makhno was no support for ammunition and equipment from the Red Army in the battles with the parts of the Caucasian division under General A.G. Shkuro, broke an agreement with the Soviet government.

So in the game, you can safely put anarchists next to the red - against white.

I will be glad if you could find a few ideas to create their armies.

In Siberia against Kolchak's armies and interventionists fought 100,000 partisans. These paintings depict these insurgent peasants.

Shulunov K.E. "Siberian Partisans"

Serov V.A. "Siberian partisans"

I'm quite fond of the 'Save General Kappel!' book cover myself. Cuprum, are there any more of such books and are they available in English?

EDIT: I just searched up the book and I must say I'm rather surprised. It seems the book is actually about a time traveler who goes back in time to save Admiral Kolchak from being shot and General Kappel from dying from pneumonia, and thus tilting the balance of the Civil War in favor of the Whites. It seems someone has already put my plans to paper!  Laugh

Here's the oddest book cover I've seen in a long time. A Red-White alliance versus the dastardly Poles!

Yes, now in Russia is very popular genre of fantastic literature on "time travel." The hero of this time falls into the past and change the course of Russian history.
By the way, this is a good topic for a hilarious scenarios  Cheesy

But on the cover of the book "Saving General Kappel" white uniforms displayed high degree of certainty.
