I was excited by this and then disappointed as I wanted to make one eventually!  But you couldn't ask for more than Hasslefree being the guys that do it though really.

Anyone know of a 28mm Hit Girl out there?  I've looked through Hasslefree, but I might have missed her.

Or any other folks from the movie or comic?  Big Daddy maybe?

Their amazing! I love that sculpt on Mad daddy. I looked at the RAFM stuff ages ago, but thought the sculpting was poor. I never got as far as the later stuff- they look like the must have upped thier game.

That would be a James Van Schaik sculpt (he of many, many Pulp City minis, and even a commission for me a while back...).

So my wife is in LA for the week, leaving me home with three kids to wrangle, BUT I also have every evening free for five days.  Normally I only paint two hours a week, so this is quite the boon.  I ordered some Hasslefree minis mostly for size comparisons, at least that's what I told myself. The Aron (not-Kick Ass) figure has caused me to try something I have never done before.  Try freehand lines on a figure.  I pulled up some google images of Kick Ass, but the thing that really helped are some costume shops that sell Kick Ass costumes.

Any way, here are the beginning stages of my Aron.  I painted the whole guy yellow, then outlined the yellow stripes in green, then filled in everything else.  The lines are still rough, as I have a few more hours to spend on him.  I'm VERY happy with my results so far, but anyone got an secret techniques for smoothing out the lines?  I'll probably break out the small brush with tiny bits of paint and lay off the Jack Daniels for the next session barring any suggestions.

Hrm, I would consider using masking tape or some other painting tape to hold the lines. Or use a yellow pen that is fine point...if you can find them at art stores.

You could also try painting in the negative.  Make the yellow stripe wider than you need, and clean it up with green.  Works better for me, but your mileage may vary.

I would use gel pens (from an art store) Go over the yellow with a white pen first, let it dry (overnight if necessary) THEN use the yellow pen (yellow gel pens do not cover as well over green as they do over white).
