If you get a good camera, it usually comes with some very nice software. You won't need photoshop.

Mind you, there are those of us who have nice cameras and have no idea how to use them...  Cheesy

I still have the first generation Lumix, it`s still a very good camera (it took all the pcitures of my ACW report for example this weekend) BUT it can`t get closer then about 30cms of a model before blurring all up as it is only at 5 megapixels, which is to far off to get decent closeups

I got Photoshop CS3, and a manual for dummies, and still don`t understand a word of how it is supposed to work with layers and everything though, so that`s the plan to learn it by LPL edition 27 or so  Laugh
