Thanks everyone for the kind words.  Cheesy
I'm glad the bases went over well with everyone.

Good work.  The distressed slabs on the bases work.  Are those all LAF minis?

Yep! they are all LAM miniatures.

You embarrass me, my friend.
I have had my LAM figures for over a year now, and they are still in the blisters!

I think you have had a more productive last three weeks than I have.  Grin

Nice work, the bases look great.
(Got myself a few LAM mini's to paint up as a Sons of the Empire Gentlemens faction.)
 Look forward to seeing more.

My next batch of LAM/ Steampunk/ VSF miniatures.
I still have the bases to finish.

On a sad note, I managed to screw up some of my Victorian city terrain while I was trying to repair it.
The three bases for my buildings are basically ruined at this point.  Cry
The Styrofoam buildings I made are really fragile and need constant repairs.
I'm considering different terrain options at this point. Something sturdier...

I love this thread and these minis. West Wind has been under rated for years but I love virtually all of it. And LAM is such beautiful accompaniment. Great stuff all around.

I like that the gents are all in dark or black clothing. So many of those Victorian London crowd photos show mostly conformity in dress, mostly blacks and grays. Maybe greater variety in head gear than we've seen modeled but basically black was de riguer in the late 1880's and beyond.

They are all BEAUTIFULLY painted & based as befits some fantastic pieces. VERY WELL DONE!
One of the appealing features of your color choices is a profusion of grey haired Gents...something I can identify with. There's no one as feisty as a Feisty Old Man...ask any of my female acquaintances.

Sorry for not posting sooner.......
Very, Very nice collection of toys you have there! Excellent mini selection and A1 painting.  Love

" Zombies have been done to death" made me giggle....
Love the mummies (although they are gift wrapped zombies) and agree they make for an unusual "infestation".
I was pondering a "Primeval" style dinosaur outbreak with time portals opening up all over London as a result of a failed time travel experiment. I can just see a group of velociraptors causing havoc in Whitechapel.........T-Rex loose in Kensington Gardens...... Sorry I'm going to dig out my dino collection  Laugh

Look forward to seeing more.
Regards

Thanks guys for all of the kind words!  Cheesy

I really tried to limit the color palettes even more than I would normally.
I was really inspired by Pappa Midnight's VSF thread when I painted these guys.
Although I can't do goggles like he does.  Cry

DeafNala, I agree, I think grey hair and beards looks really good on minis.  Cheesy

I wanted to do mummies, but I was having a hard time finding a place were I could get 30 or so reasonably priced mummies.
I was planning on settling on Mantic ghouls for this project (even though I really prefer mummies).

Pappa Midnight's Dinosaur idea has me thinking now.

Dinosaurs AND Mummies invade London? Sounds like a wacky Dr. Who episode.  Grin

I'm calling these suckers 90% done.
I'll probably go through them all one by one and make a few minor changes and touch ups before matte varnishing them.

A few new additions.

The lot so far....

Sort of crap photos. Sorry  Cry

Now I just have 10 LAM Ottomans to paint!
