Stunning new figs! Congrats to both Hicks and Empress!  Love

I've been planning on putting together a Maori Wars demo game for what seems like years now but alas, until recently I couldn't find any mini's that were worth the effort to paint up to a high standard.

So now you have the figs you can start building those intricate Pa's with those matchsticks and toothpicks!  Cheesy

Hahahaha, last Friday we were discussing this after our game and, after checking Wikipedia and the events that happened on these dates, we jokingly said it might be a Maori range and then dismissed it right away. I for one am happy to be proven wrong! Smiley They look cool.

Don't recall that funnily enough....

Another senior moment Wink

Am not tempted I'm afraid, but look forward to the Zulu War releases in due course and may add a few of them to the project.

Cavalry please, the Natal police etc. are sorely pressed at times Cry

As to NWF, well, its a good way away yet, so we'll see.

May join you with this, so a good way away yet suits me.

I have waited so long for a decent range for the NZ Wars. I just sat here for a couple of minutes looking at the figures and feeling very emotional. I will be making sure I reserve some money for these at Salute.

Well done ladies. Ka pai.

Nice to see that the range is so well received.

Big thanks to the whole Empress team for making this range/dream come true. Working with you has been a real pleasure. I would do it again.

Many compliments to Mr. Hicks: really awesome work!

Kia ora,

This is absolutely fantastic news!  The New Zealand Wars have been on my 'to do' list for ages, but apart from some of the Eureka range, no figures have really done it for me.

Adding to the coincidence is that I am currently busy writing a scenario for the Lard Island scenario competition, based on the Fall of Kororareka using 'Sharp Practice'.  These figures will be perfect to recommend for anyone wanting to play my scenario!

Kia ora, Empress!

Beautiful figures, and a great new range.  I'm hoping the range will contain a few packs of figures wearing the pillbox type hat that superceded the kilmarnock forage cap in the 1860s.

This is great news for our friends across the ditch. Congrats Empress and to Paul who has designed some lovely miniatures. With the impending 20 mm WW2 range that will be good news for some of our gamers in our district who game with 20 mm.

I like the new bad guys that were previewed on AA forum -very nice. It would be great to see some attention given to the Middle East up to 1982 etc.

Boxer Rebellion for 2012 would be lovely if this occurs.

Congrats ladies,
