Hmmm... that particular building I'm after doesn't seem to be there...

Anyone remembers it, please?

Are these the buildings you are looking for

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3D-Woodcraft-Puzzle-Chinese-Architecture-House-Beijing-Courtyrard-Model-light-/262665392820?var=&hash=item3d2813d2b4:m:mzZ_h6d5-4OLhojzYD5cucg

Its worth checking Ebay using the search 'woodcraft chinese' - you can get some pre-printed 3d models and lots of laser cut balsa stuff

This is some of the pre-printed stuff - very colourful but not sure of scale

Looks more like it, but I remember a photo that showed the interiors (no roofs at all). I'll try searching a bit more.

Should anyone have gotten a revelation because of the above, don't hesitate to prod me in the right direction, though Wink

Great minis and scenery as well!

Argonor, a China Station-like scenery is a great idea! Just remember to make your "cantina/saloon/tavern" fairly large, because barroom brawls usually require lots of space!  Wink

One option that tends to be rather good with just a little work and paint is to look at the wooden architectural models of buildings.

A friend of mine has a lot of them mixed in with other stuff that is supposed to be for Clan War, but are far more Chinese than Japanese in appearance and had gotten them in various places.

I have a pile of "wooden puzzles" still waiting, but I have already made a few and (with some work) they certainly look the job.  You must take care they are the right scale though.  I bought mine from this supplier (scroll down to bottom).  Good value for money!

I just found an old thread mentioning the building complex that I was looking for - AND it seems you were the one selling it:

http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=32386.15

Couldn't find any pics, but I just contacted Poiter50 to see if he could give me some details on the subject.

Sadly, You do not seem to have that particular building I'm after in your store at the moment  Huh?

Well, I took the chance and ordered this (link courtesy of Poiter50):

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/391274897869

I shall probably have to make modifications to the roof structures to make the interiors accessible, but if the model fits 28mm minis well, it should be well worth the effort!

I may well have to buy some stuff from decorsminiatures and oshiromodelterrain when i start to flesh out my 'China Station' (working title - I really need to come up with a catchy and pulpy name, instead of copying Bob Murch).

OUTPOST 31Wink

Nah, as it probably was an existing settlement with a small harbour somewhere on the south-east Chinese coast, before being turned into a trading station for the European powers, I think it should have an 'anglofied' Chinese (Cantonese?) name.

When I think of one, I'll post about it in my Pulp Stuff thread.  Smiley
