I came across an ebay auction, but as I don't have much cash at the moment, I was hoping someone could tell me who makes this artillery and crew and I could wait and buy it later... and maybe cheaper too...

Link

Thanks.

Rats. I was excited when you mentioned Sikh artillery then I found out it was Victorian. I'd like to build a Sikh army from the Sikh Wars period.

Very pretty army

Foundry still sells much of their Sikh War range but you need to call them and ask for it, or go to the place and see what they have. Another source is of course EvilBay...but beware, there is a lot of counterfeit Foundry stuff being sold, especially from the States. I have been stuck with a lot of figures that were recasts of Foundry figs, which were smaller in size and used a cheaper metal.

Also, expect to pay quite a bit for the Foundry Sikh War figs, as they are still in demand.

As for Old Glory, they promised to do a complete range but then stopped about 75% into it...with a number of key items missing, notably the Sikh artillery pieces. That said, the figures they have produced are actually not too bad...not up to the Perry's standard but better than most of the OG stuff, which to be honest, is generally poor quality.

Hope this info helps.

Indeed it does help. Thanks to you all.

I'm old enough to recall a Minifigs counterfeiting operation. It all ended in tears when the counterfeiter's hair fell out (he was using old battery lead).

The Foundry Sikh Wars range are Perry sculpts and, if you can get them (i.e., as above, if you can get them to sell you some), they are excellent. Their Sikh horse and foot artillery are particularly good. Most of the Sikh irregulars have been absorbed into a generalist Indian range, which is available, but the regulars.....

The officer in the original link looks like a Hinchliffe figure; the make a Sikh in a similar pose.
