Then I have more bad news for you: the new Monsterpocalypse expansion has a bunch of science!-enhanced mole creatures. These guys should be close to 28mm size, whereas these chaps will be twice as large. Larger pics are available elsewhere, but suffice it to say there's some quality pulp going on there.

I remember I read in a Weekly World News article about 5 years ago about the evil Mole People in Monatana trying to develop nuclear weapons to get rid of the humans. Sometimes reality is so much more scary than miniatures...

I've been wanting to add Molemen to my 40mm Flash Gordon collection for ages. I am aware that Graven images do a set of four, but I have never liked the boiler-suited images - see; http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/cliffhanger.htmThe Molemen from Wyrd Miniatures, although beautifully sculpted would be too short for adding to a 40mm collection. The Molemen from Monsterpocalypse look like they could work, but I have no idea how tall these miniatures are. Can anyone help? Tony http://dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.com/

There are some interesting moleman type things in the Monsterpocalypse stuff, I just wish they had faces and not cutting blades instead.

Is Monolith the only place to get hold of the Flash Gordon figures in Tony's link?

Help - Please.I like the look of the Malfaux Molemen from Wyrd. I think they have just what I'm looking for when modelling my Flash Gordon Molemen. But they are just too small to go alongside my 40mm figures!!!!!!!!! Here is a suggestion, but can you help? To use the arms and possibly head of the Wyrd Molemen ( I can always 'bulk the heads out with greenstuff) but base them on a larger ogre-like miniature. My problem is identifying a suitable donor body to re-model 40mm Molemen with these heads and arms. Any suggestions? I'm looking for a finished miniature that would stand between 36mm and 45mm. I suppose a bear, an ogre or even an elemental could work. Any suggestions? Tony http://dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.com/

How about using one of the GW plastic rat ogres as the basis for the conversion? Their stubby legs, long arms and plastic nature could make conversion a bit easier, alas they arent cheap!
All the best!

I've ordered a set of Wyrd Miniatures Molemen and three Reaper Miniatures Garravank - the ghoul king models, see Blog for details and update. Tony http://dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.com/
