Was the Curtiss "Fighter" from the film, "Porco Rosso"?  I had a similiar Curtiss a few years ago

It was indeed the Curtiss, a fabulous kit. I also have Porco's Savoia-Marchetti, again a wonderful kit. If anyone knows of a 1/48 Dornier Wal I'll have that in a second!

Just to make the game more confusing, I played Lola and the Sky Pirates and the Starkadder extended family was played by Conrad.

It was one of the funniest games I've ever played and was a credit to everyone involved, particularly Loudon for his moderation and Bluewillow for his amazing terrain box.

A great day was had by all, lots of laughing, foreign accents and fair play  Laugh, I played the luckless Chinese who didn't manage to achieve much at all except get shot at Roll Eyes, and master bluewillow Jnr played the Japanese and managed to pull off the best finnish in a game I have ever seen. Lots of Dinos interupted myself and the sky pirates. The game really split into two halves with three teams in the village and three teams in the woods, the japanese and the RCC really were the only teams to cross the mental divide.

The rules were written by Greywolf and Starkadder, Terrain by myself and Greg, the ships were scratch built by me, various vehicle and aircraft  kits by the guys, the Se5 is a paper model built by Greg, dinos are plastic repainted, Japanese and chinese are Bob Murch figs, a few copplestones, some foundry, ral partha, and some other figure ranges.

cheers

 Back...
The terrain was by Greg and mostly Bluewillow(including the sub),I did a tiny bit ,the tower. The storyline grew out of my love for Mike Owens figure's and my great friend Starkadder's inspiration. The rules my own concoction. The whole event in some ways was a playtest and a sequel to events(and a campaign) that are about to take off.The campaign will be largely written around a storyline that Starkadder came up with, which we discuss and draw inspiration from, strangely enough as much from fact as from fiction. I am doing my usual lupine rambling......anyway lookout for more Naughty Lola, Undead Albert Ball and Montana Starkadder.

As always, I enjoyed knocking out another round of terrain and figures for the game, and it was not that distant from our regular gaming at the club except for the werewolf and dino's Laugh

Must post some decent pics of the chinese and Japs with the planned individual gang names too.

cheers

You never cease to amaze my dear Greywolf. I've just finished reading the Haunted Hotel to my beloved wife. Perfect bedtime book. You can't go past the old Wilkie...

Well you can, but you'll probably come back for a chat.
