tough choice again.
Malebolgia - where are the beasties from?
And - good grief, that barber pole is incredible! I'd like to see a pic of Quantrill's grey from port or starboard once this week's voting is done - it looks like a real grand job.  Cool

I've never seen those minis at the bottom before (I think)....Huh?

Tough choice.... I think the 'clean' look of the top pic wins it for me.... hmmm... not sure, have to leave for a while....

The miniatures are 'Skorne Praetorian Ferox Riders' from the Hordes game:
http://www.privateerpress.com/HORDES/gallery/default.php?level=picture&id=116

I painted them for a friend of mine (I paint all of his Warmachine and Hordes miniatures). He wanted to participate in a tournament that used the 'hardcore' format where all miniatures have to be painted. The LPL was a great way to get them painted (the 4 Paingivers and 2 Void Spirits I entered in round 4 were also for that army). And I couldn't think of a cooler paint scheme than Heman's battlecat for the kitties Wink

@Tsar1701: Fantastic entry and maybe even my favorite one of this round. Absolutely stunning presentation with a nice hint of humour in it. You certainly deserve the win this round Cool

I love the sculpted reins, Tsar'.  Love

I fully intended to do the same for my own entry, but I ran out of time and had to fudge it...

Both great entries!

This was a very tough choice. The cowboys/outlaws are very nicely painted and also well presented. On the other hand I love the he-man colour scheme on the beasts of Malebolgia, and the general painting on them. On the other hand the dipped look of the riders took them down a notch but for a quick paintjob they certainly work perfectly.

In the end I voted for the he-cats because of their coloour scheme and also because the models were a bit more exotic, but it was a hard decision to make and Tsar certainly deserves his votes.

And "Lead or Alive", classic!   Grin

I KNEW I'd heard the word 'Skorne' before - I just could not place it in it's true context....

Thanks! Those minis are worth consideration for a lot of purposes....  Smiley

Sitting in Lawrence, Kansas right now, it is difficult for us to vote on anything involving Quantrill, other than a hanging, but I gotta do it, that is a terrific entry.
